A bit of a trek from the house (walk to river, then turn right and walk about 45 minutes), but well worth it. A wonderful place to see wildlife and the rapids.

This is the free outdoor pool right by our house (turn right at the river, walk 5 minutes, just past the soccer field). A great place to cool off on a hot day. They also have games and pool tables in the white tent. Open until 8pm most days. You can also find kayak rentals at outer the side of the pool (look for the sign that says NAVI, or you can call in advance: 514 800-0481 or visit http://espacenavi.ca/en/#en/rentals).

You can also find kayak rentals at outer the side of the pool (look for the sign that says NAVI, or you can call in advance: 514 800-0481 or visit http://espacenavi.ca/en/#en/rentals).
This is a nice longer trip option along the park pathways if you rent bicycles (not bixis, as they don't have stations this far). It's about a 45 ride from the house. You can see the windmill, visit the free museum and ride around the point of the park.
